Kamma

Kammavaru are a social group found largely in the Southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Karnataka. The Kamma population was 795,732 in the year 1881.^[1] According to 1921 census they constituted about 4.8% of Andhra Pradesh population and in significant numbers in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka^[2][3][4] In the last decades of the previous century, a sizable number emigrated to other parts of the world, particularly to the USA, UK and Australia
